Biography Yoshiko Hain is a Senior Lecturer in Japanese for the Department of Comparative Literature & Foreign Languages at the University of California, Riverside. Born and raised in Japan, Hain received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and American literature with teaching credentials from Meiji Gakuin University in Tokyo. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Speech Communication from the University of Wisconsin. She also holds a certificate in the International Christian University method of teaching Japanese as a foreign language. With more than 20 years experience as a language instructor, she was appointed to her current position in 1989. Hain was honored as UCR Distinguished Teacher of the Year for 2001-02. Previously, she taught at Saitama National University in Japan. |
