JOHANNES ENDRES
Johannes Endres is interim director of the German program, substituting for Dr. Sabine Doran. He has broad teaching experience gathered at several German und European Universities. His most recent affiliation was at the University of Göttingen, one of Germany’s elite universities. His research and teaching focus on German literature and culture from the Enlightenment to the Romantic period. His publications cover a wide range of fields, including books and articles on authors such as Abaelard, Walther von der Vogelweide, Shakespeare, Lessing, Schiller, Goethe, Novalis, Kleist, Eichendorff, Sitfter, Mörike, Immermann, Hebbel, Darwin, Richard Wagner, Hofmannsthal, Thomas Mann, and Günter Grass.
