Annmaria Shimabuku

Assistant Professor, Japanese/Comparative Literature
Ph.D. in Asian Studies, Cornell University, 2009

Professor Shimabuku earned a B.A. in Japanese Language and Literature from Middlebury College, fulfilled course requirements for the Ph.D. program in Sociology at Tokyo University, and is currently completing her dissertation entitled "Transpacific Colonialism: A Genealogy of Sex, Nation, and Mixed-Blood in Okinawa" to earn a Ph.D. in East Asian Literature from Cornell University.
